A couple of weekends ago I stayed at the Parker in Palm Springs (designed by Jonathan Adler). And it honestly was the best Palm Springs experience I’ve ever had. Now, if you’ve kept up with me and my blog over the past few years you will know that I have a serious love for Palm Springs. I wish I took more pictures!
These happy orange doors welcome you into Jonathan Adler madness.
There are a few diffeent areas to the lobby, and this one (below) is the first area you walk into (right past the orange doors). How amazing are those Morrocan wedding blanket pillows. I love the muted look here for such a non-muted location. The knight towards the left side was awesome.
Below is a picture of the lobby that is the most photographed due to its colorful, tongue-in-cheek vibe. It’s a really cool spot to hang around in, no doubt about that!
The one thing about the Parker is you can get really, really lost. So if you have a crappy sense of direction – here is your warning: Go with someone that can guide you back to your room. (Just sayin’). So – below is a picture of one of the outdoor fire pits. This place is really what I consider ‘Adult Summer Camp’. At night they light the fire and you can sit around and make s’mores. I mean, Come on!! Amazing!
Every bedroom door was painted the perfect high-gloss cherry red. I now want to paint every door in my home.
We upgraded our room, and it was mid-century-chic heaven. I woke up in the morning trying to figure out how I would be able to take more than the hermes soap home with me. (Yes – the room comes with Hermes soap!). Would houseleeping notice if the rug was missing?!
Here was a little spot in the room to lounge. Loved the Moroccan pouf paired with the clean lines of the white cube.
I can’t tell you enough how much I loved the bedroom furniture. The bed canopy was unreal, as was this tv console/dresser. Absolutely stunning.
If there is one thing I could change about the Parker, it would be the pool set up. NOT BIG ENOUGH!! I also felt that the pool wasn’t all that special. I felt that yes, it had the quaint and sweet vibe, but it just didn’t feel rich. I can’t put my finger on it, I just was not a fan. (But the sun shade umbrellas were super cute).
All in all, the weekend was fantastic!! Can not wait to get back! It was some serious vacay!
