Mantle Inspirations – When it’s not the holiday season

Decorating around a fireplace can be tricky.  Believe me…. I’m trying to figure what to do around mine, and I am still at the drawing board.  Especially since when I think of mantles, I think of Christmas and garland.  But what to do the rest of the year…. Here are my top 3 loves of the moment.

1.  Stacking books.  It’s a good storage solution and it looks chic.

 2.  Fresh floral arrangements and sconces.  I can always appreciate some good symmetry.

3.  The summer take on the mantle.  This feels so fresh and easy to me.  Not over thought.
