A Colorado home with so much style…

I came across this beautiful Cherry Hills Village, Colorad home on Houzz.com and was so inspired. The home was designed by Interior Designer Andrea Schumacher, and it’s an amazing space mixed with happy layered colors, antiques, but with a bit of a glamorous edge.

Check out the 12 picture spread HERE, and below are my favorite rooms of the house.

This breakfast nook is awesome. I love the grandness of it paired down with the casualness of the happy colors, the mix of furniture, and the built in sofa seating.

This kitchen is unreal. The chandelier and hand painted wall coverings make this room have a glamour/rustic vibe. I am in complete love.

A four poster bed is always chic.

This bathroom is BANANAS! The combination of the mirror, wallpaper and campaign vanity is perfection. I love it!

Mosaic Tiles – Perfection.

While scoping out Pinterest, I came across a gorgeous mosaic tiled wall designed by New Ravenna.  Oh my goodness – I am obsessed – and would love to have a future bathroom be splashed with these tiles.  The thin stripes of tiles are placed perfectly to make gorgeous ikat and boho-esque patterns of art.

This is perfection.

Day dream from a window seat.

I would love to have a happy window seat to gaze out, space out, read a stack of magazines, and unwind.  Doesn’t that sound amazing. These spaces were all designed with the purpose of “hanging out.”  What I really like about window seats is that they work in a wide variety of spaces.  They work in kids rooms, adult bedrooms, living rooms, even dining room.  The look can be dressed p, or more casual – all depending on what fabric you covere the seat in,  Lots of variation.

The grey velvet tufting on this window seat is gorgeous and the entire looks has a dressed up, glam feel to it.

A dining room with a window seat is such a fun added feature and really relaxes the room.

Attention Chicago Peeps: You need to shop HERE!!!

This weekend I was in Chicago for a wedding, and my sister took me to the greatest store EVER.

Space 519 is an eclectic mix of fashion, jewelry, home accessories, furniture, and apothocary.  The buyer for this store is brilliant, because everything is so perfectly chosen, it’s pretty much curated by a genius with serious style.

From left to right we got: Blue Rebel, Blue Boy, and Coco Blue.  Pretty fabulous if you ask me and so inspiring.  I don’t know anyone that doesn’t like the color blue.

On My Radar: Printed Upholstered Headboards

I am LOVING the idea of a printed fabric upholstered headboard.  This is definitely something I want to do for my new bedroom when I move.  I currently have the Camden headboard from Ballard and it’s great, but needs some oomph. I also think the size and shape could use a tweak or two.

PS – I have an AMAZING upholsterer in the So. Cal area if you need one!

A Super Glammed Living Room

Clean, sleak, modern, with a hint of Hollywood Regency.  I have to be honest….  This room doesn’t have that super warm feel to it that I prefer, and it doesn’t tell a lot of story on the people that live in the space, but its really well put together.  The bengal printed (Kelly Wearstler) fabric is gorgeous and lots of great textures with the wood, cow hide, mohair pillows.

Definitely an inspiring space with a beautiful color patette, I’d probably just add a few home-y touches to it.
