True Blue Baby I love you…

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like the color blue.  It is my favorite color, and I swear to wearing it every day in some way.  I love rooms that layer different shades of blues.  Turquoise, navy, royal blue, cobalt, grey-blue, pale….

Here are some favorites!

Pic Pads

Are you a list maker?  I definitely am!  I have a little system with my lists, and it usually involves me re-writing my lists multiple times, or even putting something on it that I got done, just to have the satisfaction of highlighting it off that it’s been done!

I love Pic Pads.  You personalize any type of notepad with any picture you would like…  it can be of you, friends, family, pets, whatever you want!  It’s really easy to upload.  A possible cute gift idea for Mother’s Day too!

I like making flower arrangements.

I love flowers.

What girl doesn’t?! I also like making arrangements.  I’ve worked at florists in high school and college, and definitely have learned a thing or two from different website along the way.

Here are the arrangements I made for our recent Passover.  For dinners, I like arrangements to be low so that it doesn’t interfere with conversation over the meal and everyone can see each other.

Also, here’s another post with other flower arrangements I made for a dinner party at home with some instruction. Click HERE

A graffiti artist opens his home.

I have been a fan of graffiti art for quite some time.  Shepard Fairey, Banksy, Space Invader to name a few…   I really appreciate the self expression and the “no-holding-back” esthetic that come s with street art.
Roger Gastman is an artist that has been on the scene for quite some time – and has curated a new exhibit at the MOCA in Los Angeles  “Art in the Streets.”   So, recently the LA Times featured his Los Feliz, CA home and I had to share it with you if you hadn’t seen it yet.  What I appreciate most about his home is that every piece is genius, and true to Gastman and what his personal taste is.  Everything in his home suits his taste perfectly and mixes and matches all different elements that he likes.  Designing for him self! The glittered zebras, the gun lamp, pieces from Jonathan Adler.  I love seeing homes that truly speak about what the home owner really loves.
This is the perfect example!!

Amazing artwork really liven up this tablescape.

This floor lamp was designed by Phillipe Stark for Flo Gun. Quite tongue-in-cheek!

A delightfully graphic yellow bedroom.

I love the artwork in this bedroom.  It really is easy to duplicate as well, All you need is 3 different graphic printed paper (wrapping paper or wall paper could work perfectly here) and matching simple frames, cut, arrange, measure and hang.
