This room is amazzzzing.
1. Dark, charcoal and moody walls. (and I love how designer, Jan Showers matched the curtains to the walls).

I am in love with the floral wall art, the floral arrangement, the lamp and the credenza.
It all goes together perfect!
I hate to be negative – but the fuller view of the room doesn’t look as strong as this accented wall….
But all good – this first pic, is unbelievable.

So clean and airy, and what a great way to guarantee your shelves will stay nice and tidy… since it will have a full on view at all times. Also, a budget friendly idea for new kitchen cabinets.

Shop like a designer….
Tip: All you need in a room to make it pop – is one show stopper. For instance in this room via In Style Home (2004) are those amazing silver ball lamps. The entire room vanishes because your eye immediately goes to those lamps. So keep that in mind when you are looking at something fabulous.
For instance – these lamps below (which I stupidly left at the Long Beach flea market a month back)! Pretty unreal.

I love watching movie and music awards; especially for Grammys, AMA’s and VMA’s.

Plaid, Plaid, Plaid, Plaid boys…
I know… that really isn’t the way the George Michael song goes… but if he were a singing interior designer – he may have changed the lyrics.
Plaid reminds me of flannels which makes me think of a few things: winter, blankets, LL Bean pajama pants and sleep-away camp.
