Let’s take a little trip. I am feeling the mid-week blues – so lets plan a little get-away to
PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA!
Just a two hour drive from Los Angeles – and you can be in the fun, sunshine-filled, mid-century world! It’s golf, pool, fab shopping, and great meals. What else could you ask for!? So, here is a little guide of where I’d go, stay, do, and wear! If you have been before – and have some suggestions of great places – please do share!

Dazzles: Mid-century furnishings, and an extensive collection of bake-lite jewelry, glass, blenko, tiki-culture, bamboo, bar ware and more. It really is a fun store to look at gorgeous pieces! 1035 N. Palm Canyon Dr. 760-327-1446
Bon Vivante: Mid-century home accessories, extensive collection of brass figurines and glass barware. The owners really know their stuff and love to talk shop! 457 N. Palm Canyon Dr. (located in the Galleria Shops) 760-323-4576

Trina Turk Residential: If you love her clothes, you will love her ‘Resident’ shop. Great selection of books, trinkets, Trina for Schumacher Pillows, Garden stools and more (and its right next to her clothing store). 895 N. Palm Canyon Dr. 760-416-2856
Trina Turk Residential is on the top of my list of favorite spots. The boutique is curated so well. You will definitely not leave empty handed.

Revivals: If you are looking for budget friendly, yet really cool pieces that may need a little paint, or new upholstering, then definitely hit up Revivals. They have several locations – but I definitely recommend you stopping in here. Very cool stuff.
Beaumont: Beaumont is a town about 40 minutes before you reach Palm Springs (coming from LA) which has some really cute antique malls. Check out this link to learn more: HERE
I personally love staying at The Parker (Shocker…) or the Miramonte Resort and Spa – which is actually in Indian Wells (approximately 15 minutes from Downtown Palm Springs). It really all depends on what type of trip I am going for. If it’s to unwind, completely relax and layout by the pool – then for sure – Miramonte! But, If I’m “Palm Spring-in” it up – the The Parker is perfection.

The Miramonte has an amazing spa, great pool, and the rooms are beautiful. It's not funky, or mid-century, but if all you want to do is unwind and get centered; I recommend this spot for sure.

Elvis’s Honeymoon Hideaway: I have never done this tour before, but It is 100% on my list for next time!! This is the honeymoon home that Elvis and Priscilla had. It’s a mid-century modern buff’s dream!

Spas are always fantastic options to relax and unwind on vacation. The Estrella at the Viceroy and PSYC at The Parker are both phenominal and will not disappoint.
Estrella - the Spa at The Viceroy Palm Springs is fantastic, and definitely hit up Citron after for a glamorous meal (the entire hotel was designed by Kelly Wearstler).
Desert Hot Springs – Mineral Pools: This is one thing Ihave never done before, but would love to experience. The Desert Hot Springs are known for their mineral water deep down under ground. This water is pumped into pools all over Desert Hot Springs for people to enjoy the calming, soothing, and mineral components.

Palm Springs has great dining options:
Cheekys: An amazing spot for breakfast/lunch – with EVERYTHING on the menu – but be prepared, there is a huge crowd and a little bit of a wait! But well worth it. 622 N. Palm Canyon 760-327-7595
Purple Palm: This is a fab dinner restaurant and a great spot for drinks. Located in the Colony Palms Hotel, and make sure to request a table near the pool. The decor is chic, designed by my fave: Martyn Lawrence Bullard.

Copley’s: Staying true to Palm Springs…. Copley’s is a great option for dinner as its location is in Cary Grant’s former vacation home. The menu serves up delicious California fare – and it does not disappoint!
