A couple pics from 45 Three

After work today I popped into 45 Three on Fairfax (south of Wilshire Blvd. for those LA peeps) and of course they had great stuff, but nothing that’s on my list that I’m currently needing for my new digs.

If you live in the area you should totally stop in there.  They are having a sale and there are some really great pieces.

Here’s a few snaps I took.

World Market Has Pretty Much Everything

I’m convinced that World Market could be one of the greatest stores ever.  You’ve got food, wine, home decor accessories, furniture, serveware,  and wrapping paper all uner one roof!?  I mean… I don’t know about you, but this place is a total score.

Here are some of my favorite pieces on their website that I am totally into.

Where to shop: Michael Levine – Downtown LA

A great place to get fabric is downtown Los Angeles, especially if you are looking for budget friendly.  So one of my favorite stops is Michael Levine. Have you been?  It’s great!  They have a ton of great fabric options including velvet, silk, sheers, fur, vinyl, plastic…. They also have a great selection of trims and tassels.  It’s a great spot, with a wide range.  If you haven’t been, I highly suggest it!  Their website has information on specials.
So – I was there a couple of days ago looking for fabric for my benches in my foyer and came across several things that really caught my eye.

A beautiful geometric in black, ivory and grey

Fun brights!

A beautiful and modern day floral. I love this color combination.

A bronzed basket weave vinyl. This would look awesome on kitchen bar stools. No stress about clean up!

Pom-Pom trim!

My favorite fabric... The metallic cheetah was only $24.95 a yard.

A wide range of nail heads.

45 Three chic!

This afternoon I stopped into one of my favorite vintage furniture shops – 45 Three and of course – the store looked gorgeous with amazing little vignettes for customers to enjoy and be inspired by.  This specific set up blew me away, and half of it was already sold! :(

How gorgeous is the settee, side tables, bargello pillows, lamps, end tables…..  I could keep going!!

Well – if you live in LA – the store is on Fairfax just south of Olympic, take a peak for some fantastic inspiration, or a great find!!  (And – tell Staci you are friends with me!)

Attention Chicago Peeps: You need to shop HERE!!!

This weekend I was in Chicago for a wedding, and my sister took me to the greatest store EVER.

Space 519 is an eclectic mix of fashion, jewelry, home accessories, furniture, and apothocary.  The buyer for this store is brilliant, because everything is so perfectly chosen, it’s pretty much curated by a genius with serious style.

Space 519 -900 N. Michigan Ave. Chicago, IL 60611

Such a gorgeous bar cart! Chic. Chic. Chic.

Amazing upholstered, animal-print chair.

Bracelets by Joomi Lim. I can't stop thinking about these, I might be calling them to order one! I need.

Drama. Love.

These nail polishes are so popular right now, they are designed to blend with your skin tone.

From the personal file… Black & Spiro Inspires!!!

Anna Spiro… the owner of home store, Black & Spiro in Australia has sick style.  Her shop was recently featured in Adore Magazine - and I couldn’t take my eyes off of these two images for a really long time.  I was just totally mesmerized by how fun and kick-back these rooms are while still haing a bit of glam to it.

These two images have totally inspired me for my own home spaces:

I am in LOVE with this bedroom. The rug is sick, and so are the lamps and the bedding.  That bed skirt is bananas!!!  I am definitely going to pull a few ideas from here.  Stay tuned for new bedroom pics in the near future.

How darling and happy is this chair!?!  WELL – I am about to have a chair re-upholstered in my living room, and I picked an ikat print by Robert Allen that I love, but I a now thinking that I may do a different fabric on the back.  This is awesome!!

An Orange County Flea Market Wrap Up

I love spending the day outside at a flea market.  Last weekend was great – it was warm and sunny and I just strolled around at the Irvine Valley College Flea Market and had a fabulous and relaxing day!  I had never been to this flea market before, a bit of a drive – but they had some great finds.   (Irvine Valley College Flea Market – 1st Sunday of the month – 5500 Irvine Center Dr. Irvine, CA 92614)

Here is the round up of some fabulous vintage finds!

This wicker room divider opens up 4-fold, and was stunning in person.

A vintage/mid-century lamp had such gorgeous details.

The wicker rocking chair was so cute, and the bean shaped desk was beautiful in person. Would be perfect for a small-home office nook.

Amazing vintage ribbons - $1.50 per roll. I purchased 3! Perfect for gifts - and so personalized.

Vintage necklace. My other purchase of the day. I loved it, but plan on using an extension to make it longer.

These baskets were handmade in Uganda. I've been seeing exact baskets like these in Elle Decor. They ranged from $23 - $35 per basket. These would be great for pet toys, magazines, kids stuff, etc.

Skull beads from Ethiopia. How fun and kooky are these!?!?

You should be able to find at least one bamboo mirror at a large flea market in So. Cal.

This pair of chairs have a fantastic shape to them. Just needs a good reupholster job!
